Welcome to the site for the Integral Portland philosophy group. We meet once per month for several hours of integrally-informed chit-chat. We welcome anyone who is - or wants to be - familiar with Integral theory and Ken Wilber's work to join us. Note that we do not generally discuss the theory or Ken's books, etc. on a regular basis, though we do at times. We more often use our knowledge of Integral Theory as a foundation and stepping off point for rich, deep discussion on topics ranging from self-development to philosophy to different models of human knowledge and anything else that comes up. The number of attendees range from two to ten or so and we welcome you to join us.
Meetings take place at the Heathman Hotel in downtown Portland, OR every third Monday of the month at 7:00 pm. We sit in their beautiful mezzanine. We've been meeting here for some time, but we don't have formal permission. We are always respectful of the space, so this hasn't been a problem. If you plan to attend, just head to the second floor mezzanine and look for a group of happy, thoughtful-looking folks. That's us! The ones in the suits and tuxedos are probably the opera crowd. You can try discussing the four quadrants with them, but I'm not sure how far you'll get. :)
